Background on peptides as research materials, how we handle quality control, and what our testing documentation covers.
Peptides 101
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids joined by peptide bonds. Chains are generally described as peptides up to roughly fifty amino acids in length; longer chains are described as proteins. The sequence of amino acids in a chain determines its structure, and that structure is what researchers characterise and study.
Peptides are supplied for laboratory work as lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. Purity, identity and mass are the properties that matter for research: whether the material in the vial is the sequence it is labelled as, and how much of anything else is present. Those are the questions analytical testing answers, and the reason a Certificate of Analysis accompanies a batch.
This page describes peptides as research materials. It is not guidance for use, and we do not publish reconstitution or handling protocols.
Why research standards matter
Research is only as good as the materials it is built on. If the identity or purity of a compound is uncertain, every result downstream of it is uncertain too — and there is no way to tell afterwards whether an unexpected finding came from the experiment or from the vial.
That is why documentation matters more than marketing. A supplier that can tell you which batch you received, which laboratory tested it, and what that laboratory measured is giving you something you can work with. One that cannot is asking you to take it on trust.
Analytical testing establishes what is in the vial. It does not establish that a compound is safe or effective in humans, and we make no such representation.
Quality & testing
Quality control and independent laboratory testing are at the heart of what we do. We source carefully, and we provide third-party testing and Certificates of Analysis when available so our customers have meaningful information about what they are purchasing.
Products are sourced carefully rather than by price alone.
Batches are tested by an independent laboratory for purity and potency.
Reports are provided as issued by the laboratory, unaltered.
Discreet, protective packaging to keep product integrity in transit.
Certificates of Analysis
A Certificate of Analysis is the laboratory's report on a specific batch. It records what was tested, how it was tested, and what was found — which is why a COA is only meaningful when the batch identifier on it matches the product in your hand.
A report typically identifies the compound, the batch or lot, the testing laboratory, the date of analysis, the analytical method used, and the measured result. We provide reports as the laboratory issued them.
To request the COA for a product, contact us with the product name and, where you have it, the batch number.
